Week 4/5 T-shirts inspired art.

This week we read a big book called T-shirts. This inspired us to create our own t-shirt. Each t-shirt has our names and some information about us. We also used the portrait drawing skills we learnt last week to help us draw our heads.

We drew our faces with pencil and then coloured them in with skin coloured crayons. Next we went over our details in vivid and used pastels to emphasis our hair, eyes and mouth. We also used vivid for our writing and pastels to colour in our name. We tried very hard to stay inside the line. Lastly, we dyed our t-shirts.

Hockey was the most popular activity with Room 8. Play dough was the least popular this week.

Week 3/4 Pencil Sketches

Week 3/4 Earthquake!

On Friday afternoon there was an earthquake. We were in school singing. We had to duck, cover and hold. The kids were amazing. Here is a picture of us showing how we use our hands to protect our necks.

On Monday we wrote some stories about the earthquake. Here are a couple.

I didn’t feel the earthquake. I don’t know why. I must have good balance. My pop’s clock stopped. Why didn’t I feel it? Why didn’t I feel it?

I felt the earthquake and mum came to Bulls School. Mum was scared.

Week 3 Self Portraits

We are learning to draw more detailed self portraits. Mrs Wilson had to try and guess who was who based on our drawing. Can you guess who is who?

Week 3 Discovery Time

We had Discovery Time with Room 7 and 9. We did some baking, played with play dough, built with blocks, make snappers, painted over crayons with dye, danced to jump jam, spun hola hoops, and coloured in pictures.

Week 2 Making Superheros

We made superheros and we had to colour them in.  Miss R took a photo of us and printed them out. Then we drew ourselves as superheros.We went over the pencil with vivid and coloured them in with pastels.

Week 2 Liz comes to Room 8

 Liz read us a story. We listened to the story.

Week 2 Dancing with Dean

Room 9 and Room 8 are enjoying our dancing lessons with Dean.

We have been doing dancing. We are learning some dance actions. Dean McKerris has been teaching us dance lessons. We love it. There are heaps of moves that we love.
